Get Into The Active Life With Caribbean Workout

I’ve been following the Caribbean Workout on television for years, and it has quickly become my favourite workout. I was so excited when it finally came out on DVD. It’s easy to follow, provides an excellent workout and is pleasant to watch because of its beautiful setting in Barbados.

One of the best ways to lose weight is through a regular workout. Admittedly, though, it is not very practical to have a jog or bike around the neighborhood anymore. People are also turned off by the crowded rooms and huge fees charged by local gyms. The only alternative is to stay at home and watch TV–exercise TV, that is. Shows such as Caribbean keep fit help you convert the time you spend preparing and driving to your gym into more hours for losing weight or other useful things.

Exercising on TV

Produced by George Athans, Caribbean keep fit is a fitness show that gives you a full body exercise in an hour. It is not just famous for its effective routines but also for the stunning view of the Caribbean scenery, particular the island of Barbados where it is filmed. With 16 years on the air, it is one of the longest running shows of its kind. Caribbean exercise is also one of the most viewed and televised health and wellness programs, gaining millions of viewers and broadcast in over seventy-five countries.

TV Format

Viewers get hooked in the series because it provides new twists on the usual exercises that people have learned in school.

Each routine is simple enough and does not require any equipment except for the usual exercise ball and a yoga mat. Exercises are carefully explained and point out the target muscle groups. Shots are also balanced, zooming in at accurate moments of particular action and maintaining a complete shot of the Caribbean Workout, team allowing you to duplicate the routines properly. You also won’t miss out on the series, since it airs two to three times in a day with the help of its broadcasting partners.

Hosts of the Show

One of the major reasons why Caribbean exercise is getting a huge slice of the ratings pie is their group of effective trainers. One of the hosts is Shelly McDonald.

She is currently one of the best fitness professionals to have come out of Canada. When she is not at the helm of Caribbean exercise, she also teaches at the many top colleges in the country. Montreal’s Club Sportif MAA also takes pride in making her their group fitness director. Club Sportif MAA has been voted the best sport club in the country too.

The other hosts of Caribbean Workout are David Snively and Josee Lavigeur. David has been in the fitness industry for more than twenty years. He is also a diving champion and a member of the Olympic team. Josee is another prominent fixture on televised fitness and very popular among the French-speaking regions.

Workout Anytime with DVDs

Capitalizing from the success of the TV shows, producers have also released a variety of materials so people can enjoy working out even when Caribbean keep fit is not on air. These fitness DVDs span several categories including aerobics, kickboxing, and particular exercises for certain muscle groups. Caribbean Workout also has training videos for alternative workout methods such as yoga and pilates.
